Recover What’s Rightfully Yours:
Don’t Leave Money Behind!
If your property faced foreclosure, you might be owed thousands.
Over $15 billion in unclaimed foreclosure proceeds nationwide.
What are unclaimed foreclosure Proceeds?
Whenever a home is foreclosed, the bank will sell the home to the highest bidder. The bank is only allowed to recover the unpaid loan amount. Because of this, banks can receive a check for more money than they are legally allowed to keep. Any extra proceeds from a foreclosure must be returned to whoever had the loan.
Unfortunately, banks practice an unjust system for returning any excess foreclosure proceeds. They will only notify you of any extra foreclosure proceeds after the home has sold. To notify you, they will send a letter to the address that was foreclosed. This is all the bank is legally required to do, and often no other form of notification is given about excess foreclosure proceeds.
If no action is taken, the bank will report the excess proceeds as unclaimed. Once the proceeds are reported as unclaimed, they will be sent to the local county. Every county has its own time limit before the proceeds can be reported as unclaimed.
Unfortunately, counties also unjustly handle your money. They will never try to directly notify you of any unclaimed proceeds. As soon as the local county receives the unclaimed proceeds, they will begin investing it to generate revenue. Even worse, many counties have created time limits for people to rightfully claim any excess proceeds. This means that if you have unclaimed foreclosure proceeds, you could have a limited time to claim them.
We make sure you receive your money!
As a registered unclaimed proceeds recovery company, we make it our responsibility to ensure everyone receives what is rightfully theirs. We do this by employing a team of private investigators who do everything in their power to locate and contact anyone that has unclaimed excess foreclosure proceeds.
Our team of investigators regularly conducts audits of county records to ensure their unclaimed proceeds truly cannot be returned to the rightful owner. We find that many “unreachable” people with reported unclaimed proceeds can be contacted when a team of investigators is working to find them. Once our investigators locate someone, they notify the person of the unclaimed proceeds. We regularly represent these people and appeal for the return of what is rightfully theirs.
If our investigators haven’t contacted you, there is still a chance you could have unclaimed proceeds. There are thousands of new reports every day, making it impossible for us to investigate every case of unclaimed proceeds.
Contact us as soon as possible if you believe you could have unclaimed foreclosure proceeds. We can quickly determine if you have any unclaimed amounts.
As a citizen, you also have the right to use The Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. § 552) to determine if you have unclaimed proceeds. To learn more about unclaimed funds, visit usa.gov/unclaimed-money. We find that a direct 5 U.S.C. § 552 request to your local county is the most accurate way of determining if you have unclaimed proceeds from a foreclosure.
